Buying Online FAQ

We have put together information on some frequently asked questions below. Feel free to contact us any time if you have any queries.

DO I NEED TO REGISTER?

Sales listings are visible to all users.

Registered users, when logged in, have visibility of additional information including vet certs and x-rays where provided.

You must register if you wish to bid online or attend the sale in person.

IS THERE A CHARGE TO REGISTER?

There is no charge to register. You will be asked for credit card details, and a refundable charge of €1 is made to verify the card.

IS THERE A CHARGE TO BID?

Online bidders must provide a credit/debit card pre-authorisation. The amount will be advertised for each auction.

You will be asked for a Credit / Debit Card when you 'Register for Auction' / 'Login to Bid' online and your card will be pre-authorised for the advertised amount. This sum, and your card details, are held securely by the card processor. If you do not bid in the auction, or are unsuccessful in making a purchase, the pre-authorised amount will be returned automatically by the card processor to your account in seven days. If you are the winning bidder, the sales company may take up to €500.00 from your card as a down payment in line with the agreed auction terms.

If you intend bidding online we advise that you add your card details to your profile in advance of the sale, to save time on sale day. Your card will not be pre-authorised until you press the 'Login to Bid' / 'Register for Auction' button.

WHEN IS PAYMENT DUE?

Payment for purchased lots is due on the fall of the hammer. Please be ready to receive a call from one of our representatives to arrange for payment.

In the event that you are uncontactable following your purchase on the phone number on your account, your card will be debited €500.00, and your purchase may be forfeited and put up for resale, in line with the agreed auction terms.

VETTING

Re-vetting must be requested within 30 minutes of the fall of the hammer and is at the buyer’s expense (€130).

Pre-sale vet certs can be viewed online prior to the sale, and in the sales office on sale day. Vendor’s warranty declarations can also be viewed.

REMOVAL OF ANIMALS

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to arrange transport and removal of purchased animals from the premises on the sale day.

There will be transport companies in attendance on the sale day. We can assist in putting you in contact with them.

In the event that this is not practical or possible, we can arrange to board the animal at the owner's risk and expense, for a short time, until collection.
